Taste of Urbani's flash frozen porcini mushrooms is incredibly similar to that of the fresh product, thanks to the advanced technique of flash freezing carried out in our laboratories, which allows the fragrance of the product to remain intact as if they had been freshly picked.
Don't thaw the porcini before use: thawing will take place during cooking! When they start to get soft, you can cut them in pieces / slices and finish cooking.
Don't cut while they are frozen.
Porcini are very easy to use, you can just heat some garlic in olive oil anf, when oil is hot, add the whole frozen porcini.
When they start to get soft cut them in pieces, add some white wine and finish cooking. At the end you can add parsley, salt and pepper and your porcini are ready to use with tagliatelle or as side.
Quantities of product recommended per portion: 2oz to 5oz
Ingredients: Flash frozen porcini mushrooms (Boletus edulis).
Preserving method: Don't break off the cold chain; keep at less than 5 F (-15 C)
Using method: Don't thaw, transform and use still frozen.
