Urbani's porcini mushrooms are still dried in the old traditional italian way. Packed in an elegant bag you can first appreciate the size and quality of these mushrooms and later appreciate their unique flavor in cooking.
The mushrooms should be rinsed and cleaned of any dirt before use. To bring out the aroma of the porcini mushrooms, you need only to soak them in a mixture of milk and warm water.
Excellent for risotto or pan-fried, they are great combined with prestigious white Alba truffle.
Ingredients: Dried Porcini mushrooms (Boletus edulis).
My daughter and I made a delicious risotto and we prepared the porcini mushrooms in warm water for 15 min then chopped them up and added the mushroom broth to the chicken stock. It was delicious and we topped it off with the Urbani white truffle salt. I cant want to make more recipes this winter with your ingredients. Since covid we really enjoy cooking together. Next recipe will be with some homemade fettuccini and white truffle salt.
It is the first time I tried porcini, it was really good, Maybe because it is dry, the taste is salty.

I had bought the dried porcini mushrooms during a trip overseas. Needless to say - loved them. I was so happy to find them here. They have a unique taste. A culinary jewel !
I love this product I’ve used it in the past . My mother’s family came from Northern Italy and always made their sauce with these mushrooms. Great quality and fast shipping
